Bring In Spring!

It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold:
when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade.
                                                           ~Charles Dickens

What a dramatic entry! Bird symphonies, riots of color,  leaves shooting out of trees, sun-filled, balmy days. There is a freshness in the air that beckons and just begs for something new.
Here--simple, yet delightful spring things to have and to hold.

Watch out for: Yellow mountain lupines. These wildflowers stage a short but spectacular annual show. Look for them on roadsides, where their tall, willowy stems and delicate, buttery flowers literally dance in the breeze.

Have around: Things that have a vintage feel.

$4.99 and $9.99, Below right: Target Home antique green soap

Go sensual all the way: Candles engage your sense of smell and woven items like the bird's nest candle holders here, add texture.

Stop and smell the roses: No reason you can't have them while the ones in your garden are not yet in bloom. Stay away from silk ones, they're just tacky. Cuddle up with this one instead.
